Mobile Day Patrol Security Officer (Level II)
Signal of Austin | Austin, TX | $19.00 / hour

This is not a static post, this is an active, mobile patrol role where you’ll be driving, walking, observing, and documenting continuously throughout the night.

Schedule
- Day shift, weekends only
- Saturdays and Sundays
- Standard shift: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Part-time position
- Candidate must be dependable and available to work both weekend days consistently
Your Day Looks Like...
- Start your shift by checking in with the team for updates on dispatch activity, pool concerns, properties needing extra attention, and any ongoing incidents
- Conduct a vehicle inspection and ensure all equipment is ready (phone, flashlight, keys, reporting tools, etc.)
- Coordinate with weekend leadership and assist with dispatch coverage throughout the shift
- Remain ready to respond to daytime calls for service at any point during the shift
During your shift, you will:
- Respond to dispatches during daytime service hours and arrive on scene within 30 minutes
- Assist with weekend pool patrols at assigned properties
- Verify that individuals using the pool are residents or authorized guests when required by the property
- Address pool-related concerns such as loud music, glass containers, policy violations, and disruptive behavior
- Respond professionally to resident complaints, especially noise complaints, and work to bring the area back into compliance
- Observe for suspicious activity, unauthorized use of amenities, or conditions that could create safety concerns
- Maintain a visible, professional presence while moving between assigned properties and calls for service
Throughout your shift, you will:
- Write clear, real-time reports for patrols, dispatches, and notable incidents
- Use a mobile app for navigation, reporting, and team communication
- Activate and use a body camera while on-site, as required
- Communicate with residents, property staff, dispatch, and emergency services when necessary
- Support weekend operations by helping leadership stay ahead of incoming calls and property concerns
After each stop:
- Submit your report promptly
- Notify the team that you are clear
- Move immediately to the next dispatch, patrol assignment, or priority location
This is a high-movement, high-accountability role where you will be driving, walking, observing, and reporting continuously for the duration of your shift.

- Professional in appearance, communication, and resident interactions
- Comfortable enforcing pool rules and handling complaints calmly
- Tech-comfortable (smartphone apps, reporting tools)
- Strong sense of urgency and follow-through
- Security, military, law enforcement, hospitality, or customer service background is a plus
Requirements & Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
- Texas Level II Security License (required)
- Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug screening
- Working smartphone with data (required for reporting and communication)
- Ability to sit, walk quickly, drive, and remain alert for at least 10 hours
