Position Details

Location: Tampa Bay, FL

Pay: $55,000 - $64,772

Schedule:

• Full time position
• Afternoon & Overnight hours where needed.
• Weekend availability when needed.
• Flexible schedule.

Position Summary

Signal of Tampa is hiring a Training & Compliance Manager to keep our security officers licensed, trained and ready. You'll run new hire orientation, deliver ongoing training, manage Florida licensing compliance, and act as the go-to resource on SOPs and post orders. The role is on-site, with regular travel to client sites and Signal offices, and reports to the Director of Administration.

• Clear communication: You can explain a licensing rule or an SOP simply, whether you're speaking to a new officer, a Division Manager or a client.
• Engaging presentation: You keep a room engaged, whether it's a new hire orientation class or a group of residents learning fire extinguisher safety.
• Coaching mindset: You treat training gaps as chances to help officers improve, not reasons to discipline them.
• Organization and follow-through: You manage license renewals, uniform returns and training records at the same time without letting deadlines slip.
• Sound judgment: You can tell which issues in the daily inbox need action today, such as liability concerns and SOP violations, and which can wait.
• Discretion: You handle investigations, officer records and client information confidentially.
• Adaptability: You adjust quickly when a new client brings new training requirements or priorities change mid-week.
• Collaboration: You work well across Operations, HR, Recruiting and vendors to keep things moving.

Responsibilities:

• Track and verify FDACS Class D and G licenses, CPR/First Aid, BAT/OC, and firearm qualification renewals
• Plan and run New Hire Orientation, including firearms inspections, uniforms, IDs and onboarding materials
• Deliver classroom and field training, including CPR/AED, and present safety trainings at client sites
• Write and update SOPs, post orders and training materials as client needs change
• Review incident reports, write-ups and supervisor notes to find training gaps and report trends to Operations
• Investigate officer write-ups by gathering video, photo and report evidence, interviewing officers, and documenting findings
• Manage the uniform room and equipment inventory, including body camera checks, minor repairs and vendor coordination
• Take part in candidate interviews and client onboardings, and attend weekly Operations and HR meetings
• Keep training records audit-ready for clients and regulators

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of Management or leadership experience
• CPR/AED instructor certification, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days
• Employment is contingent upon the results of background check and drug screen
• Excellent organization, oral, and written communication skills
• Adapt to established procedures and to help identify and solve problems
• Ability to get along with other employees, follow directions, work under stress, add value and continuously improve
• Demonstrates a commitment to service, organization values and professionalism through appropriate conduct and demeanor.
• Security Experience
• Working knowledge of the Florida statutes that govern security operations
• Strong presentation, coaching and documentation skills

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours)
• Ability to conduct foot patrols, including stair climbing
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including in heat and humidity
• Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds as needed
