Mobile Patrol Security Officer (Level II)

Signal of Austin | Austin, TX | $20.00 – $21.00 / hour

The Opportunity: Security Officer – Mobile Patrol

Do you excel in a fast-paced environment? Are you alert and love to be part of the action? Signal of Austin is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for our Overnight Mobile Patrol team.

Your Role: Protecting the Community

As a Security Officer with Signal, your day-to-day involves taking ownership of your assigned properties to keep them safe for all.

  • Mobile Patrols: Conduct vehicle patrols throughout different properties to deter thieves and criminals.

  • Incident Documentation: Observe and dictate events seen and heard during routine patrols; conduct site reports at each location.

  • Professional Standards: Each Security Officer is expected to take pride in their uniform and what it stands for.

  • Tech Integration: Efficiently operate a smartphone to write reports, clock in/out, and utilize the Signal Software.

Schedule & Hours

  • Shift: Overnights Only (Actual schedule provided during orientation).

  • Duration: 10-hour shifts.

  • Employment Type: Full-time (30–40 hours per week).

  • Flexibility: Must be available for holidays and on-call shifts.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum Standards:

  • License: Valid Texas Level II Security License (Required).

  • Driving: Valid Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.

  • Age: 21 years of age or older.

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Background: Must pass a federal background check, Motor Vehicle check (MVR), and drug test.

  • Physical: Ability to sit and drive for up to 10 hours per shift.

The Ideal Security Officer Candidate:

  • Former military or law enforcement experience.

  • Excellent organization, written, and oral communication skills.

  • Reliable transportation and a working smartphone with data for reporting.

  • Adaptable to an ever-changing environment.
