Service Area: East Honolulu/Kahala/Hawaii Kai and Surrounding Areas, Hawaii
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour

Position Type: Dedicated Guard Post

We are seeking a dependable and service-minded Dedicated Security Officer to join our Honolulu-area team. This position is full-time (12-hour shifts with more days off).
As a Dedicated Security Officer, you will remain assigned to one location for your full shift. This is not a mobile patrol position and does not include use of a patrol vehicle. Your role will focus on maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring assigned areas, supporting safety, documenting activity, and providing professional customer service throughout the shift.

As a Dedicated Security Officer, you will serve as a steady and professional security presence at an assigned client property. You will help protect people, property, and peace of mind by remaining alert, approachable, and prepared throughout your shift.
This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working from one assigned post or property location.
Key Responsibilities
- Remain assigned to one designated property or post for the full shift.
- Maintain a visible, professional security presence throughout the assigned area.
- Monitor entry gate, courtyards, offices, pools, common areas, entrances, access points, and other assigned locations.
- Observe and report unauthorized individuals, suspicious activity, safety concerns, property damage, or policy violations.
- Help secure and monitor access points to prevent unauthorized entry.
- Provide respectful and professional customer service to clients, residents, tenants, guests, and community members.
- Document activity, observations, and incidents through accurate written reports using company software.
- Communicate effectively with teammates, supervisors, dispatch, and client representatives.
- Respond calmly and professionally to concerns, disturbances, or developing situations.
- Use de-escalation techniques while maintaining safety, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Protect and properly maintain assigned equipment, including radios, keys, site phones, and other company or client assets.
- Follow all post orders, company policies, and site-specific procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED.
- Hold an active Hawaii State Guard Card.
- Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
- Have reliable transportation to and from the assigned work site.
- Have access to a dependable communication device.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Be organized, dependable, and attentive to detail.
- Be physically able to move or lift up to 20 pounds.
- Be able to remain alert, professional, and engaged during the full shift.
- Demonstrate a commitment to professionalism, integrity, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Experience and Skills
We welcome applicants who bring:
- Previous experience as a Security Guard, Security Officer, Dedicated Officer, or Site Officer.
- Knowledge of access control, property protection, or loss prevention practices.
- Strong situational awareness and sound decision-making skills.
- Comfort working independently while remaining connected to a supportive team.
- Ability to follow post orders and site-specific instructions with consistency.
- A calm, respectful, and service-focused approach to security.
- A commitment to employing Aloha in all interactions with clients, residents, guests, team members, and the community.
