Job Description
- ARMED APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN GEAR- duty belt, level 3 holster, vest and firearm - please be prepared to bring all gear (with the exception of the firearm to your interview).
- Must have a VALID Driver's license.
- Must have an Armed Security License in the state of Florida.
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check and drug screening.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Able to read, speak, and write in English.
- Working smartphone that can download and use apps (not provided applicants must have and be able to use their own).
- All officers must be confident and comfortable with verbal de-escalation.
- Must be able to sit or stand for 12 hours at a time.
Essential Job Functions:
- Standing or walking for extended periods;
- Responding quickly to threats or emergencies;
- Completing incident reports;
- Maintaining situational awareness;
- Operating security technology; and
- In the case of a Patrol Officer or Dedicated vehicle post: driving a patrol vehicle on a scheduled patrol cycle for specific durations with limited idle times.
Position Summary:
A Signal Dedicated Officer will conduct static security services for courtyards, offices, pools, and other high value areas to ensure all required access points are properly secured and to ensure protection of property and residents with a high degree of attentiveness to details and safety. All duties listed below are minimum requirements – additional duties listed in the site’s Post Orders are requirements as well.
