Pay Rate: $17.08 per hour
Position Summary
The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, enforcing regulations, and responding to incidents in a professional manner.
Responsibilities
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings and access points.
• Enforce access control and verify identification of visitors and employees.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies.
• Document daily activities and irregularities such as property damage or theft.
• Communicate effectively with law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
• Provide assistance and guidance to visitors and employees as needed.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to observe and report security issues accurately.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Prior experience in security or law enforcement is a plus but not required.
• Must meet any state or local licensing requirements applicable in North Carolina.
