Position Details
Location: Buffalo
Pay Rate: $17 - $19 per hour
Position Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and reliable Security Officer to maintain safety and security in Rochester, NY. This role involves monitoring premises, enforcing policies, and responding promptly to any security incidents to ensure a safe environment for all occupants.
Responsibilities
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
• Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular checks of buildings and grounds
• Enforce company policies and procedures, including access control
• Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, or incidents
• Report and document any security breaches, incidents, or maintenance issues
• Provide assistance to employees, visitors, and emergency services as needed
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in security or law enforcement preferred but not required
• Ability to remain alert and attentive during shifts
• Good communication and observation skills
• Must meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements for security personnel
