Job Description
Position Summary
The Security Dispatcher serves as the central communications coordinator within the 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC). This role is responsible for monitoring real-time security activity, dispatching officers to scheduled posts and emergent situations, and maintaining constant communication with field personnel and supervisors. Dispatchers provide remote assistance to customers and staff, document all incidents through digital reporting systems, and ensure accurate, timely information flow across the operation. As the first point of contact for emergencies, service requests, and operational issues, Security Dispatchers play a critical role in maintaining safety, accountability, and seamless coordination throughout the security program.

Location: Tampa, FL 33602
Pay Range: $19.23 per hour + Benefits
Schedule: 4 PM–12 AM (2 days) and 7 PM–3 AM (3 days)

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Support & Assistance
- Provide remote assistance to patrons, visitors, and staff using video/audio communication systems.
- Support users with access issues, payment kiosks, and general service inquiries.
- Dispatch & Coordination
- Dispatch security officers, supervisors, or staff to resolve incidents, service requests, or emergencies.
- Act as the primary communications hub for all field personnel during active shifts.
- Monitoring & Incident Response
- Observe and report activities across assigned properties through surveillance, access control, and tracking systems.
- Monitor traffic flow, entry, and exit points to ensure safety and accountability.
- Contact police, fire, EMS, or emergency responders when required.
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate logs of incidents, service calls, and communications in the digital reporting system.
- Produce daily activity reports and escalate critical incidents to supervisors.
- Coverage & Accountability
- Conduct scheduled radio checks and confirm officer accountability in the field.
- Verify guard clock-ins, post coverage, and compliance using GPS-enabled platforms.
- Remain at the Operations Center throughout the shift until properly relieved.

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Customer service orientation with ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong verbal communication, multitasking, and crisis-handling skills.
- Proficiency in phone and computer usage.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
- Florida Class “D” Security License Required
Preferred but Not Required: Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus.
