Security Officer
Schedule: Friday & Saturday, 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM Shift: Evening/ Overnight
Position Type: Part-Time
Location: Brighton, MA
Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
Signal of New England is currently seeking a reliable and observant Security Officer to join our team. This role primarily involves outdoor, exterior foot patrol duties, including monitoring parking lot activity, deterring unauthorized building entry during off-hours, and overseeing contractor access to the property.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine foot patrols around the interior/exterior of the property
- Maintain visibility in the building and parking lot to deter suspicious or unwanted activity
- Ensure no unauthorized individuals enter the building during off-hours
- Monitor and log the entry/exit of contractors during active work periods
- Provide accurate, timely incident reports and updates as needed
- Maintain communication with supervisors and other personnel as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of security experience, especially in access control or screening roles
- Strong situational awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to remain on foot for extended periods and conduct frequent patrols
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to intake information quickly and report incidents clearly and concisely
