Plant Officer (EMS Background)
Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the plant facility in Columbia, SC. This role involves monitoring the premises, enforcing safety policies, and responding to emergencies to protect property, personnel, and visitors.
Position Details
Location: Columbia, SC, USA
Pay Rate: $19.75 per hour
Shift: 7 days on 7 days off
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to detect and prevent unauthorized activities or hazardous conditions
- Monitor access points, authorizing entry and exit of employees, visitors, and contractors to maintain site security
- Respond swiftly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, coordinating with emergency services when necessary
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and security documentation
- Enforce compliance with company security rules, EMS protocols, and safety regulations
- Support emergency response and evacuation procedures as required
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication abilities
- Ability to remain alert and vigilant during shifts
- Prior security or EMS experience preferred but not required
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
