Position Summary
The Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Signal Security of Omaha. This position works closely with operations leadership, security officers, clients, and administrative staff to help ensure our teams are properly staffed, supported, and equipped to provide dependable, professional security services.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, along with the ability to respond effectively when operational needs or unexpected situations arise.
Responsibilities
• Assist with coordinating daily security operations across assigned client locations
• Support scheduling and staffing needs, including shift coverage, call-offs, and schedule changes
• Communicate regularly with security officers, supervisors, clients, and operations leadership
• Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing support of security personnel
• Help ensure officers are meeting company standards, client expectations, and site-specific requirements
• Monitor operational needs and proactively address staffing, performance, or service concerns
• Maintain accurate records, reports, schedules, and other operational documentation
• Assist with reviewing incidents, officer reports, and client concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up
• Help coordinate uniforms, equipment, access credentials, and other resources needed by security personnel
• Provide professional and timely communication when responding to employee and client questions or concerns
• Assist operations leadership with special projects and ongoing improvements to operational processes
• Respond to urgent staffing or operational needs as necessary
• Promote a positive, professional, and accountable team culture
• Perform additional operational and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant professional experience preferred
• Previous experience in operations, scheduling, management, security, customer service, or a related field preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working independently while also collaborating closely with a team
• Professional, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality when handling employee and client information
• Proficiency with computers, mobile applications, email, and common business software
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, clients, and leadership at all levels
• Willingness to be flexible and assist with operational needs as situations arise
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass required background checks and meet applicable state or local security licensing requirements
