Position Overview
The Fleet & Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the strategic oversight and day-to-day management of our fleet, logistics, and operational support functions. This role ensures company vehicles, trailers, surveillance equipment, and operational assets are maintained, deployed, and accounted for in a manner that supports efficient service delivery to clients across all divisions.
The Fleet & Logistics Supervisor works closely with the Operations Team, Human Resources, Scheduling Department, and Executive Leadership to ensure personnel have the vehicles, equipment, and logistical support necessary to provide exceptional service while maintaining compliance, safety, and operational readiness.
This position requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to respond quickly to changing operational needs in a fast-paced security environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fleet Management
- Oversee the daily operation, utilization, and readiness of the company fleet, including patrol vehicles, supervisor vehicles, camera trailers, utility trailers, and specialty response vehicles.
- Coordinate vehicle assignments based on staffing levels, contract requirements, and operational priorities.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate repairs, inspections, warranty work, recalls, and emergency maintenance.
- Maintain all fleet documentation, including registrations, inspections, insurance records, titles, fuel card assignments, and maintenance records.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure vehicles are clean, safe, properly equipped, and professionally presented.
- Monitor fuel usage, mileage, idle time, and vehicle condition through telematics and fleet management systems.
- Investigate vehicle damage, accidents, and misuse while coordinating repairs and documentation.
- Recommend replacement schedules and assist with future fleet acquisitions and upfitting.
Logistics & Operational Support
- Coordinate the deployment and retrieval of mobile surveillance trailers, portable camera systems, lighting equipment, generators, traffic equipment and other operational assets.
- Ensure field personnel receive required equipment prior to deployment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and asset accountability.
- Coordinate deliveries, pickups, and transfers between offices, clients, and field personnel.
- Support contract start-ups by ensuring vehicles, equipment, and supplies are available before service begins.
- Assist Operations during emergency activations, weather events, disasters, special events, and large-scale deployments.
Asset & Equipment Management
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all company-owned equipment.
- Track asset assignments.
- Schedule preventative maintenance and inspections for trailers, generators, lighting systems, radios, and other operational equipment.
- Identify damaged or missing equipment and coordinate repair or replacement.
- Recommend improvements to increase equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
Supervision & Leadership
- Supervise Fleet Technicians, Logistics Coordinators, and other assigned personnel.
- Schedule work assignments and prioritize daily tasks.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure Team Members follow company policies, safety procedures, and accountability standards.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, continuous improvement, and exceptional customer service.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ensure all required vehicle inspections, safety equipment, and documentation remain current.
- Investigate accidents, equipment damage, and safety incidents while identifying corrective actions.
- Conduct periodic safety audits of fleet vehicles and operational equipment.
- Ensure the proper evaluation and training of all drivers.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare reports regarding:
- Fleet utilization
- Maintenance expenses
- Fuel consumption
- Asset inventory
- Equipment losses
- Vehicle downtime
- Assist in developing annual fleet and logistics budgets.
- Manage relationships with repair facilities, vendors, equipment suppliers, upfitters, and service providers.
- Review invoices and verify services before approval.
- Recommend operational improvements that reduce costs while increasing efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of experience in fleet management, logistics, operations, or transportation management.
- Supervisory or leadership experience.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Towing experience.
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- CDL medical card or eligibility to procure one
Preferred
- Experience within the private security, law enforcement, emergency services, military, transportation, or public safety industries.
- Experience using GPS fleet tracking and telematics systems.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, DOT regulations (where applicable), and fleet compliance requirements.
- Experience managing mobile surveillance systems, trailers, or specialized operational equipment.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to inspect vehicles, trailers, and equipment in outdoor environments.
- Ability to drive company vehicles for extended periods.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or extended hours when operational needs require.
Work Environment
This position operates in both office and field environments and requires regular travel between company facilities, client locations, maintenance vendors, and deployment sites. The Fleet & Logistics Supervisor is expected to respond to time-sensitive operational issues and support emergency deployments when necessary.

The Fleet & Logistics Supervisor is entrusted with the authority necessary to maintain the operational readiness, safety, and accountability of our fleet and logistical resources. This position exercises independent judgment within established company policies and procedures and collaborates with Executive Leadership on matters involving significant expenditures or strategic decisions.
The Fleet & Logistics Supervisor will:
- Remove any company vehicle, trailer, or operational equipment from service when it is determined to be unsafe, mechanically unsound, or non-compliant with company standards or applicable regulations.
- Assign, reassign, or temporarily restrict the use of company vehicles, trailers, fuel cards, and operational equipment based on business needs and operational priorities.
- Schedule routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure fleet readiness and minimize operational downtime.
- Approve routine maintenance and repair expenditures within authorized budget limits and submit recommendations for larger repairs or capital purchases requiring Executive approval.
- Conduct inspections of company vehicles, facilities, and operational equipment and require corrective action when deficiencies are identified.
- Enforce company policies regarding vehicle operation, cleanliness, fueling, equipment accountability, and safe driving practices.
- Monitor vehicle telematics, GPS tracking, fuel usage, and asset utilization to identify inefficiencies, policy violations, or opportunities for operational improvement.
- Investigate vehicle accidents, equipment damage, lost assets, and misuse of company property, documenting findings and recommending corrective or disciplinary action when appropriate.
- Coordinate with Operations, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership regarding fleet availability, deployment strategies, emergency response logistics, and operational support.
- Recommend vehicle replacements, fleet expansion, equipment purchases, vendor selections, and process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
- Supervise assigned Fleet and Logistics personnel by providing direction, coaching, performance evaluations, and recommendations regarding hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and training.
- Suspend the use of company equipment or operational assets when continued use presents a safety, compliance, or liability concern until corrective action has been completed.
- Develop and implement operational procedures, inventory controls, maintenance standards, and logistical workflows that improve efficiency while supporting Premier Atlantic Security Group's commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence.
The Fleet & Logistics Supervisor is expected to exercise sound judgment, maintain fiscal responsibility, and ensure that all decisions align with company policies, contractual obligations, legal requirements, and the organization's mission and core values.
