At Signal of Tampa, we’re seeking Fire Watch Security Officers to help protect properties and ensure safety in Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas Counties. Position Details

📍 Location: Tampa Bay, FL (With sites across Tampa Bay, we aim to assign you as close to home as possible)

💰 Pay Range: $16.12 hr

🕒 Schedule:

  • Evenings, Overnights & Weekends.
  • Assigned shift details provided during orientation.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct Routine Patrols – Monitor assigned locations to ensure fire hazards are minimized.
  • Identify & Report Safety Risks – Observe and report any potential fire hazards or security threats.
  • Maintain Detailed Logs – Document patrols, observations, and any incidents in real-time.
  • Ensure Compliance – Follow all fire safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Assist Emergency Responders – Act as the first point of contact in case of an emergency.

Who We’re Looking For

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Alert & Observant – Always aware of surroundings and quick to report hazards.
  • Reliable & Punctual – Dependability is key in firewatch safety.
  • Detail-Oriented – Able to accurately document observations and incidents.
  • Professional & Composed – Maintains a calm and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Flexible – Comfortable working various shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • Tech-Savvy – Able to use a smartphone for reporting and communication.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must pass a background check in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening (where permitted by law).
  • Must have reliable transportation (personal vehicle required) and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must have a smartphone for clocking in, reporting, and communication.
  • Must have the physical endurance to sit, stand, walk, or remain stationed for extended periods.

Preferred but Not Required: Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus.
