Travel Required: Occasional, as to attend annual convention, seminars, and events; less than 10%
Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000 per year, based on experience
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a.m. - 5p.m.

Your Role.
As a Dashboard Developer / IT Generalist, you will design, build, and maintain the data visualization dashboards and supporting data processes used by our franchise network and Home Office. This role owns the full lifecycle of dashboard development, from requirements gathering and data connection through modeling, building, testing, and launch, using SQL, ETL processes, and tools such as Power BI. The ideal candidate writes and maintains code independently, understands how data moves between systems, and translates business questions into reporting that people actually use.
This position also provides technical support to end users as a secondary responsibility, resolving common hardware, software, and application issues and escalating more complex problems as appropriate. Foundational programming skills and hands-on hardware experience are applied to automation, system maintenance, and efficient service delivery across both sides of the role.
What You’ll Do in This Role.
Dashboard & Reporting Development
- Work on the full lifecycle of dashboard and web development, from requirements gathering, design, and data connecting through dashboard building, testing, and launch.
- Perform SQL and ETL processes and build data models that support dashboards and web development.
- Maintain and enhance existing Franchisee and Home Office dashboards based on feedback from the business and its users.
- Track, monitor, analyze, and optimize operational dashboard performance.
- Test data quality and the resulting processes for accuracy and performance.
- Automate data connections and work with system APIs.
- Research, learn, and apply current data visualization and dashboarding tools and techniques.
Data & Application Assistance
- Run basic SQL queries for validation, troubleshooting, and simple reporting.
- Demonstrates the ability to understand, maintain, and develop code using Python, PHP, and PowerShell.
- Monitor and perform initial troubleshooting for ETL processes, escalating issues as needed.
- Assist with data warehousing support tasks such as verifying data loads and identifying discrepancies.
- Gather and document information for data-related incidents before escalating.
End-User Support
- Provide technical support for hardware, software, and application issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, and mobile devices.
- Support Windows operating systems and common business applications (Microsoft 365, browsers, line-of-business software).
- Assist with user account setup, password resets, and access requests using Active Directory and related tools.
Ticket Management & Documentation
- Log, update, and manage support tickets in accordance with established SLAs.
- Follow standard operating procedures and document resolutions clearly.
- Identify recurring issues and escalate trends to senior support staff.
- Create and maintain technical development documentation.
Collaboration & Escalation
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues with detailed notes and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaborate with Tier 2/3 teams as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Communicate clearly with end users regarding issue status and next steps.
- Develop relationships with internal department heads and the franchise network to understand their needs of our systems and to optimize our data use and collection processes.

Qualifications/Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems or equivalent experience in related field.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and peripherals.
- Familiarity with common enterprise software and business applications.
- Strong SQL knowledge
- Knowledge of Python, PHP, and PowerShell.
- Knowledge and experience with Power Bi.
Skills/Abilities
- Ability to write SQL queries, automate data connections, and work with system APIs.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with a project management orientation.
- General understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience working with ticketing systems.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check including Motor Vehicle Report.
- Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Experience in a corporate or enterprise IT environment
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration
- Exposure to reporting or data tools
- Experience building dashboards or reporting for a multi-location or franchise network
- Web development experience
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or similar)

The Office Environment:
As part of the company, you can expect to work in a standard office setting where there is a positive team atmosphere. Our office is a collaborative space where cross-department projects are frequent. Occasional overtime may be required as business needs dictate.You will have exposure to moderate noise levels and on occasion outside weather conditions (walking between buildings, networking events).
